About SSG

In view of the continued and accelerated industrial progress and largescale growth of Gurugram, it was felt imperative that an adequate safety and security network is provided not only to the population inhabiting Gurugram but also to its corporate houses, buildings, and other vital installations.

It was acknowledged that the existing available resources had not kept pace with the rapid growth of the city and were not sufficient to effectively cater to the security requirements and demands of the fast growing city. There was a growing need for a community effort and collaboration in this regard.

In view of the above background, the residents of Gurugram joined hands for its peaceful growth, and the Society for Safe Gurgaon was formed jointly by the Gurugram community and was enabled by the Gurugram Police.

The Society has been set up as a community forum in the shape of “Society for Safe Gurgaon”, upon approval accorded by the Director-General of Police, Haryana vide letter no. 5350/CAW-1 dated Panchkula, the 22.05.2015, under powers vested as per Section 50 of the Haryana Police Act, 2007.

The Society is registered under the Haryana Registration and Regulation of Societies Act, 2012 in August, 2015 to primarily address the following aspects of security and safety in Gurugram:


  • Personnel Safety
  • Road Safety
  • Traffic Management
  • Safety of Women and Children
  • Disaster Management and Relief
  • Building and Installation Security
  • Spreading awareness, education and counseling on safety and security

With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided to expand the objectives of the Society to provide support to COVID-19 patients/ suspects by providing logistics support, oxygen concentrators/cylinders, drugs/medicines, medical beds, devices, ambulances, etc.
