Activities of the Society
Since its registration, the Society has made considerable progress in achieving its objectives, basis the generous contributions made by corporates like DLF,Nagarro, Phillips & Honda, etc.Following notable activities have been undertaken by the society or are currently underway:
- Alco-meters (for testing alcohol levels for drivers) worth INR 8 lakhs (approximately) were provided to the Gurugram Police, by the Society
- Portable cabins contributed to the Society by Honda were deployed to help the police increase its efficiency
- Car free Tuesday was initiated as a pilot in select areas of Gurugram
- Six Mahindra Scorpios were provided to the Gurugram Police for use in catering to the safety and security of Gurugram
- 500 reflective winter jackets were provided to the Gurugram Police for the use of the traffic police personnel
- 150 motorcycles were made available to the Gurugram Police through the contributions made by Honda, for the use of traffic police ‘quick response team’
- A library has been set up for police personnel in the office of Commissioner of Police, Gurugram
- Cones and barricades have also been provided to the Gurugram Police from time to time.
